Description
English: View from eastbound Dixie Avenue of a parking lot on a strip of land between Brandies Avenue (unmarked Nassau CR 108) and the northeast corner of Mickler Street (unmarked Nassau CR 15A) and Dixie Avenue that was previously the railroad crossing for the Seaboard Air Line Railroad Fernandina Subdivision (later the Gross Subdivision) in Callahan, Florida. The railroad line was abandoned in 1985, one year before the Chessie System and Seaboard System were officially merged into CSX Transportation. Across the former tracks and current parking lot for a possible future rail trail, you can see the old west style storefronts on Brandies Avenue.
