Deutsch: Südwestansicht der röm.-kath. Pfarrkirche hl. Veit in Michelstetten, ein Ortsteil der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Asparn an der Zaya.
Die spätromanische Wehrkirche mit frühgotischem Chorturm und eingezogener Rundapsis ist der älteste Kirchenbau im nordöstlichen Weinviertel. Sie ist von einem Friedhof umgeben, dessen Mauer teilweise frühmittelalterlich ist. Das Glockengeschoss des Turmes wurde im 16. Jahrhundert aufgesetzt und die eingeschossige Sakristei an der südlichen Chorturmwand wurde im Spätmittelalter errichtet. Die barocken und rund geschlossenen Kapellen mit Lisenengliederung an der Nord- und Südseite des Langhaus wurden 1752 angebaut. |
