Description
English: This astronaut photograph of Merowe Dam illustrates the current extent of the reservoir, which has been filling behind the dam since the final spill gate was closed in 2008.
  • Dar al-Manasir, Nubia - northern Sudan.
  • Image acquired with a Nikon D2Xs digital camera using a 50 mm lens, and is provided by the ISS Crew Earth Observations experiment and Image Science & Analysis Laboratory, Johnson Space Center.
