Description
English: Pandanus and other strand vegetation on Merir Island, Southwest Islands of Palau. Original field note: Beautiful, undisturbed strand (coastal) vegetation, Merir Island. On Merir were two species of pandanus (undetermined), one with small fruit, another, inland with large fruit. The primary trees in Merir's strand were Barringtonia speciosa (asiatica), Scaevola taccada, Neisosperma oppositifolia, Terminalis samoensis, Calophyllum inophyllum, Hernandia nymphaefolia, and Pandanus species
