Description
Português: O Mercado Modelo de Salvador foi inaugurado em 9 de dezembro de 1912 para ser um centro de abastecimento da cidade de Salvador. Em 1971, após um incêndio que o destruiu, foi transferido para seu atual prédio, onde antes era a Casa da Alfândega. Situa-se na Cidade Baixa de Salvador, em frente ao Elevador Lacerda. O prédio reproduz formas neoclássicas consagradas da segunda metade do século XIX, com uma planta quadrada e uma construção circular ao fundo, que antes servia para atracamento dos navios de mercadorias.
English: The Mercado Modelo de Salvador was opened on December 9, 1912 to be a supply center for the city of Salvador. In 1971, after a fire that destroyed it, it was transferred to its current building, where the Customs House was previously located. It is located in the Lower City of Salvador, in front of the Lacerda Elevator. The building reproduces established neoclassical forms from the second half of the 19th century, with a square plan and a circular building in the background, which was previously used for docking freight ships.
Français : Le Mercado Modelo de Salvador a été ouvert le 9 décembre 1912 pour servir de centre d'approvisionnement pour la ville de Salvador. En 1971, après un incendie qui l'a détruit, il a été transféré dans son bâtiment actuel, où se trouvait auparavant la Douane. Il est situé dans la ville basse de Salvador, en face de l'ascenseur Lacerda. Le bâtiment reproduit les formes néoclassiques établies de la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle, avec un plan carré et un bâtiment circulaire en arrière-plan, qui servait auparavant à l'accostage des navires de marchandises.
Español: El Mercado Modelo de Salvador fue inaugurado el 9 de diciembre de 1912 para ser un centro de abastecimiento de la ciudad de Salvador. En 1971, tras un incendio que lo destruyó, fue trasladado a su edificio actual, donde anteriormente se encontraba la Casa de la Aduana. Está ubicado en la Ciudad Baja de Salvador, frente al Elevador Lacerda. El edificio reproduce las formas neoclásicas establecidas de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, con planta cuadrada y al fondo un edificio circular, que antiguamente se utilizaba para atracar barcos de mercancías.
