Description
English: Mer de Glace (near Chamonix) on a misty, rainy day. The Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice) is a glacier located on the northern slopes of the Mont Blanc massif, in the Alps. At 7 kilometres long and 200 metres deep, it is the longest glacier in France.
Nederlands: De Mer de Glace (bij Chamonix) op een mistige regenachtige dag.

Mer de Glace (Zee van IJs) is een gletsjer gelegen aan de noordzijde van de Mont Blanc in Chamonix.

De gletsjer is 7 km lang en 200 m diep en beweegt 120 m per jaar gelegen in een gebied van 40 km².
