Summary[edit]

Description
English: "Stillleben mit Truthahn", painting by Melchior de Hondecoeter. It belonged to the former Kaiser Friedrich Museum in Berlin (today Bode Museum). It disappeared in 1945, at the end of World War II. It is believed that it was destroyed in the fire of the anti-aircraft defense tower in which it had been placed as protection (Flakturm Friedrichshain), but it could also have been stolen during the looting that occurred. It has been missing since then.
