Title
Medieval tweezers with ear scoop terminal
Description
English: A copper-alloy pair of tweezers with an ear scoop terminal. The tweezers are made from cut sheet and folded at one end, creating a looped terminal by which it could be suspended. In plan, the tweezers have a narrow end that flares to a triangular shaped terminal. No decoration is visible. The suspesion loop/bend is relatively flat to allow further function as an ear scoop. A copper-alloy band is found holding the tweezers together about 2/3 down the length of the tweezers (similar to those found on page-holders). It is uncertain if this was soldered in place or corrosion has subsequently fixed its position. The tweezers are flattened.
