Description
English: A complete Medieval cast copper-alloy single loop buckle frame (c. 1350-c. 1400).

This frame has convex sides in plan and has a sheet copper-alloy roller at the outer edge. The copper-alloy pin is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear.

Frame: Length: 13.9mm; width: 11.4mm; thickness: 2.1mm. Weight: 1.05g.

Similar buckles from London have been published (Egan & Pritchard 1991: 116-120).
