Description
English: Incomplete and unusual medieval copper alloy buckle, pin bar and stumps of sides of the mostly missing copper alloy frame are contained within the fold of a rectangular copper alloy plate, retaining a D-sectioned copper alloy pin with transverse rib at loop. The sides of the front part are folded down on both sides to meet the back part, with twin copper alloy rivets at the attachment-end and contain the remains of a leather strap. The face is decorated with an M on a rectangular field. Plate length 25mm. Plate width 21mm. 3mm thick. 14th century.
