Medieval/Post Medieval heart-shaped button
Description
English: Medieval/Post medieval Button, heart-shaped (15 x 17mm) with both halves of face obliquely-angled forward towards thickened sides (6mm thick), both kite-shaped sides on face with kite-shaped engraved bordering lines containing oblique hatched lines. Both thickened sides of button with short transverse notches on one side of median groove. Horizontally set perforated integral lug on reverse. Cf. Read (2005), no.40. 15th-16th century.
