Notes

Great European War 1914-1918 Peace Commemorative Medal, 1919 Throughout the British Empire souvenir medals were created to mark the end of the war, which at this time was generally referred to as the Great War, or the European War. The allied flags featured on this medal include the New Zealand Blue Ensign (obverse, lower left-hand side). Probably made by Dunedin firm, G Moller, as the reverse image of a soldier, features in six other medals struck by Mollers in 1919. See Leon Morel, 1919-9-1919-14.
