Deutsch: Vorderseite: CIVITAS MANGNOPO. Landeswappen Mecklenburg (Stierkopf mit Lilienkrone und heraushängender Zunge).

Rückseite: MONETA BRANDEBO. Kreuz mit Stern im linken oberen und rechten unteren Winkel.

Kommentar: Die Frage, ob die im 15. Jahrhundert in zahlreichen Landstädten Mecklenburgs, nicht nur in Neubrandenburg, geprägten Witten in einer städtischen Münzhoheit wurzeln, wie in der älteren Forschung (Oertzen, Jesse) vorausgesetzt wurde, bedarf noch genauerer Untersuchung. Münzbild und Umschrift der Vs. lassen eher auf eine landesherrliche Münzhoheit schließen. Bei den zur Herrschaft Mecklenburg gehörenden Städten ist der gekrönte Stierkopf mit Halsfell (mecklenburgischer Stierkopf), bei den zur Herrschaft Werle gehörenden Städten ohne Halsfell (werlescher Stierkopf) dargestellt.
