Description
English:

In 1905, The Meadows opened as a one-mile dirt race track for automobiles. Located in Georgetown, the area was subsequently used for air shows and paved over to create Boeing Field in 1928.

Inaugural carnival and race meet of the Seattle Automobile Carnival Association at Meadows Speedway. Sept. 9 and 10, 1909. 50 fast cars will compete in stirring speed and endurance contests. 30 motorcycles in competition...Four silver cups will be awarded in the following classes: decorative, grotesque, commercial and racing.
