Description
English: Late Classic Maya bowl. This is a Tabi Gouged and Incised vessel from Yaxuna. It dates to the Terminal Classic 600-900 A.D., and was recovered from Burial 6. Item 85/1/182 in the Museum of the Americas, Madrid.
Español: Cuenco maya del período clásico tardío (600-900 d. C.). Tiene forma globular y base plana. Presenta decoración excavada -incisa, formando tres bandas de diseños geométricos. La inferior, más ancha, tiene un friso de grecas escalonadas, alternadas por dos líneas que se entrelazan formando el signo del movimiento "hollín". A continuación aparece un estrecho friso dentado y, sobre éste, otro con una banda trenzada. Artículo 85/1/182 en el Museo de América, Madrid.
