Description
English: Equestrian portrait painting of Maximilian II Emanuel of Bavaria and his son Joseph Ferdinand at the Coudenberg Palace in Brussels (Mathys Schoevaerdts, 1698). The rendering of the palace follows the print made by Romeyn de Hooghe for the festivities on the occasion of the taking of Buda in 1686. It shows the row of terracotta statues on the parapet.
