An estimate of the material inputs required to replace fossil fuel electricity sources with wind and solar.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Applying estimates of raw material inputs required per unit of electricity produced (U.S. DOE, Quadrennial Technology Review, Sept 2015; does not include fuel) to total electricity generated each year by energy source (U.S. EIA 2000-2020; Deniston estimate 2021-2035), providing the amortized raw material cost of Biden’s plan for 100% CO2-free electricity by 2035 (assuming coal and natrual gas go to zero, nuclear and hydro stay at their 2020 levels, while wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass are expanded at their 2020 relative ratios to each other).
