Summary[edit]

Description Postcard depiction of the Southern Pacific Railroad's barge "Mastodon", which was used to bring trains and passengers across the Mississippi River north of New Orleans. The card shows the entire train with passengers standing on the barge as it crosses the Mississippi.
Date Card was never mailed, so has no date. It appears to be pre-1923 but will license it as pre-1978 to be certain.
