Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Mary Knoll. Hill on the north side of Sunny Dingle/Gutter. The steep slopes were spruce covered for the last 50 years, but the Tully tubes speak of reforestation with broadleaves, probably oak here. I was overjoyed to see this; the old forest is being repaired. The slope is covered in charcoal burners' platforms; the old role of the forest was serving the Bringewood iron smelters; these make fiendish orienteering controls.
