Føroyskt: Bakkafrost er størsta alifyritøka í Føroyum. Her síggjast eitt av skipunum hjá Bakkafrost, Martin, ið er uppkallaður eftir einum av stovnarunum av fyritøkuni. Skipið liggur her við bryggju í Vági.
English: Bakkafrost is the largest salmon farming company in the Faroe Islands. Here is one of their vessels, Martin, which is named after one of the brothers who established the company. The ship was bought by Bakkafrost Farming in November 2016, it arrived to the Faroe Islands on 27 February 2017. They had a celebration to welcome the ship in Glyvrar on 4 March 2017. The ship was bought in order to transport living salmon and in order to delouse the farmed salmon with luke warm sea water. Another of Bakkafrost's ships, Hans á Bakka, uses freshwater when delousing the salmon. |
