Summary[edit]

Description Dr, Nirenberg had won the 1968 Nobel Prize for his role in deciphering the genetic code. He asked NIH photographer Bill Branson to take this photo in the Building 37 parking lot. The license plate “UUU” is the code for the amino acid phenylalanine.
