Description
Deutsch: Gusseiserner Festpunkt ("Markscheideplatte") zur markscheiderischen Vermessung der Zeche Hannibal.

Text auf der unteren Plakette:

Anno 1985 kam diese über 145 Jahre alte "Markscheideplatte",
ein Relikt aus vergangenen Bergbauzeiten, beim Ausbaggern
einer Baugrube zum Vorschein, an der Stelle,
an der später der Baumarkt entstand. Die über 4 t
schwere Platte mit einem Durchmesser von 1,75 m
lag fest einbetoniert unter der Erde.
Die Markscheideplatte diente als Vermessungspunkt,
sozusagen als Nullpunkt, von dem aus die Tiefe und die genaue
Ausrichtung der Schächte und Stollen gemessen wurde.
