Description
English: Market Place, Reading, looking northwards to St. Laurence's Church, c. 1845. West side: Nos. 31 and 30 (George Cooper and Company, wine and spirit merchants); No. 29 (Drew and Company, "The Golden Canister," grocers); Nos. 28 and 27; No. 26. The church has Blagrave's Piazza in front of it. 1840-1849 : photograph by W. H. Fox Talbot. The original is in the Science Museum/Science and Society Picture Library, negative number 536/69.
