Marasmius bellipes Morgan Image location: Browns Lake Bog, Shreve, Ohio, USA Growing abundantly among Quercus alba leaf litter, bark and wood chunks under a large Quercus alba. Stems smooth. Pileipellis composed of broom cells. Clamps present. Pleurocystidia absent. Broom cells forming a sterile band on the gill edge. Spores smooth, hyaline, thin-walled and inamyloid. Spore measurements: (8) 9.2 – 11.1 (11.9) × (2.6) 3 – 3.7 (3.9) µm, Q = (2.5) 2.8 – 3.5 (3.7); N = 30, Me = 10.1 × 3.3 µm; Qe = 3.1 Used references: Desjardin, D. E. (1989).
