Cette maquette de 200 m de long est présentée au musée de la civilisation romaine à l'EUR à Rome. Elle est à l'échelle 1/250. ______ Le Musée de la Civilisation Romaine, inauguré en 1955, illustre, dans ses 59 sections, tous les aspects de l'ancienne civilisation romaine à travers une vaste collection de moulages d'après les originaux, conservés dans tous les Musées du monde, mais qui sont aujourd'hui détruits ou endommagés, et à travers des maquettes reproduisant les monuments éparpillés sur toute la superficie de l'Empire romain. Le premier noyau des collections remonte à l'exposition archéologique organisée en 1911 dans le cadre des manifestations pour le cinquantenaire de l'unification d'Italie. Les 14 premières sections représentent une synthèse historique de Rome, des origines au VI siècle. Le restant des 45 sections est dédié aux aspects de la vie publique, religieuse, économique, militaire ainsi que privée.
