Description
Español: Retrato del politico español Manuel Ruiz Zorrilla (1833-1895). Fue diputado a Cortes y posteriormente ministro de Fomento y también de Gracia y Justicia durante el Gobierno Provisional establecido en España tras el triunfo de la Revolución Gloriosa en 1868. Y también fue Presidente del Consejo de Ministros en dos ocasiones durante el efímero reinado de Amadeo I. Además, Manuel Ruiz Zorrilla llegó a ser Gran Maestre del Gran Oriente de España entre 1870 y 1874 y tras la Restauración borbónica en España fue obligado a exiliarse en febrero de 1875, pasando a defender a partir de entonces la opción republicana y a ser uno de los líderes del republicanismo español. En 1895 volvió a España y murió en Burgos el día 13 de junio de ese mismo año.
