Description
English: The Mannar Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located in Mannar, a town situated on the northern coast of Sri Lanka. It was built in 1915 during the British colonial period and is still in operation today. The lighthouse stands tall at 70 feet and offers a panoramic view of the Gulf of Mannar and the nearby town. It is a popular attraction for tourists who visit Mannar to explore its rich history and natural beauty. The lighthouse is also an important navigational aid for ships entering the Mannar Strait.
