English: Manjusrigrha inscription also known as Kelurak inscription is an insription dated from 792 CE which was found in 1960 in Kelurak village, north of Prambanan. The inscription mentioned about the construction of a temple complex named “Manjus’ri grha” (The House of Manjusri). Manjusri is a Boddhisatva in Mahayana Buddhist teaching. Manjusrigrha temple is now identified with Sewu Temple, it was probably built in the 8th century at the end of Rakai Panangkaran reign. |
