Description
Ido: Les Pygmées mènent une vie nomade au sein des écosystèmes forestiers où ils se nourrissent des produits de la chasse et de la cueillette.

Concernant les langues, plusieurs dialectes sont utilisés dans les sites exploités. Il s’agit de Lolia pour l’intercommunication entre eux et Liyala pour les investigations ; à Bobala, Loile, Ibeke, Bowa , MBUA: le Mombenga, Le Lingala, Le Ngwaka, Le Mbati ; Les habitants de Bafwakobi qui sont en majorité de la tribu bali parlent le Kibali, tandis que les Pygmées, qui manipulent aussi le dialecte bali, parlent leur propre langue qu’ils appellent Dekango ou Likango (du kango/Bakango nom des Pygmées de la contrée). Le swahili et lingala aussi sont utilisés comme langues vernaculaires. Les peuples autochtones pygmées et les autres populations présentent presque les mêmes valeurs culturelles. C’est le cas d’œuvres d’art, folklore et chansons griot.

Elles adorent la danse folklorique (Ndomba Ngando, Walé) et chansons griots pour invocation des forces surnaturelles bienfaisantes et maléfiques.
