English: These amazing trees have adapted to like is salt water they have great features that allow them to live in it.there leaves are able to filter the salt water .if you look closer some of the leaves have a whit layer that is a layer of salt crystals and also there roots grow out of the soil to take oxygen it is just amazing and fascinating they are found near coastal areas in Qatar and this amazing photo was taken near the purple island in al-zakira city the picture was taken by an i phone 6 and they turned out great ,not to mention that these trees are sites of breeding areas for Marin animals and therefor are maintained by the government and the people in Qatar .these amazing trees also act as a carbon sink to the extent that some of the soil is actually black due to the amount of carbon. |
