Description
English: 1968-01. Striding through the heavily defended Army of the Republic of Vietnam compound known as PK 17, is the Commander of the Australian Force in Vietnam, Major-General Douglas Vincent of Canberra, ACT (centre). With him are an American adviser and Major Neville Wilson of Puckapunyal, Vic, the senior Australian adviser in Hue. General Vincent was making his final tour of Australian Army Training Team (AATT) posts before returning to Australia. Note the barbed wire fences.
