Description
English: Resting in Section P, Grave 2930, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego is Maj. Ross L. Iams. Iams was a sergeant fighting in the Haitian Campaign in 1915 when he earned his Medal of Honor. He served in World War I, Haiti, Mexico, China, the Philippines and Nicaragua, and eventually rose to the rank of captain in 1920. After retiring in 1932, Iams briefly returned to service in 1942. He died Mar. 25, 1952.
