Description
English: Workers'house in the parc du Champ-de-Mars, during the 1867 World Fair. The house had been designed by Napoléon III himself, and allowed him to emblematize his concern for the lower classes. The emperor was very involved in the organization of the World Fair; he used the event to consolidate his political regime inside the country, and to enhance France's status in the world.
