Coins from Magna Graecia. Identification (from the left):

  • 1: Velia: lion. Triskels above between Φ and Ι. cfr. SNG ANS 1385/6
  • 2: Campania, Neapolis. Circa 268-220 BC. AR, Man-headed bull standing right, being crowned by Nike who flies above; ΝΕΟΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ in exergue.
  • 3: The central one, with the legend ΑTEM (retrograde inscription for ΜΕΤΑ) an the barley ear is from Metapontum
  • 4: KAV Kaulonia: Apollo and stag
  • 5: Kroton: Incuse tripod
