Madhukar shah bundela was the chief of the 1842 Bundela rebellion. He was given death sentence at the tender age of 21 by the British.

हिन्दी: मधुकरशाह बुंदेला १८४२ में अंग्रेजों के विरुद्ध हुए बुन्देला विद्रोह के नायक थे। मधुकर शाह को ब्रिटिश हुकूमत ने केवल इक्कीस वर्ष की आयु में फांसी लगवा दी थी, जिससे की विद्रोह की चिंगारी आगे न बढ़ सके। मधुकर शाह द्वारा किये गये बुन्देला विद्रोह से अंग्रेज इतना परेशान हुये कि उन्होंने मधुकर शाह को मध्य प्रदेश के सागर में खुलेआम फांसी का आदेश दिया गया था। इस बलिदान को सदैव जीवन्त रखने के लिए सागर जिले में आज भी सागर जेल में उनका समाधि स्थल है। साथ ही गोपाल गंज में एक वार्ड का नाम भी इनके नाम पर है। |
