Summary[edit]

Description

THE STORY OF OUR THREE LEG FEMALE CAT PET.

Tuzzi is the name of this three leg female cat. She was a stray kitten around four weeks wondering about in Siggiewi when on the 10th. May 2007 I brought her home but before taken her home I first took her to our Veterinarian for a check up. Shila then puppy of four weeks too, was very delightful to see Tuzzi and welcomed her new friend. They started to play together at first sight. On 9th. June 2007 Tuzzi and Shila, had their first vaccine and the 2nd. on the 30th. June 2007. Tuzzi and Shila play and eat together also they sleep together in the same basket. But if Tuzzi move while Shila is comfortable sleeping on her, Shila gets ennoyed and barks at Tuzzi. THE INCIDENT: It was the 8th. August 2007, when at around 6.30am I woke up and went to feed Tuzzi and Shila and clean their area. As usually I let them play on the roof while I'm cleaning. Shila was chasing Tuzzi on the roof and Tuzzi jumped up on the balustrade wall and come down again to play with Shila. But when Shila chased Tuzzi again and Tuzzi went to jump on the balustrade wall, Tuzzi missed the wall this time and fell from the heights of four floors right down in our parapet. I run downstairs opened the front door and saw Tuzzi laying there with blood on her face and I thought she was dead. I felt her tummy and I felt her heart was beating, thought Tuzzi was unconscious I was very glad to know that she was still alive. It was to early to take Tuzzi to our Veterinarian so I picked her up cleaned the blood with warm water and kept Tuzzi warm in a towel. At 9am I rushed Tuzzi to our Veterinarian clinic and some x-rays were taken and I was told that Tuzzi had her left front leg broken and the Vet. put bandage around it. When on the 20th. August 2007, the bandage was removed Tuzzi was still in pain but we thought that the pain was coming from her stiff leg after the removal of the bandage and that the stiffness will loose in time. We could see how painful it was for her when she jumps and come on her left stiff leg and we really were feeling very sorry for Tuzzi and we thought it's best to put her to sleep. On the 30th. August 2007, I took Tuzzi to the Veterinarian again to put her to sleep but while waiting I was having a chat with a man who was awaiting for his dog to take him home and I was telling what happened to our Tuzzi and how painful she was and that I was there to put her to sleep because we were feeling very sorry for her living in pain. Then this man told me why don't you remove her leg and let her live with three legs. I then asked him will she really live with three legs and he said sure she will my dog has been living with three legs for eight years now you can see him when they bring him out. This man made my day and we want to thank this man for saving the life of our Tuzzi whom is still alive and healthy with three legs after her left leg was removed on the 31st. August 2007.
