Text Appearing Before Image:
,Four hours from Tacoma to the Glaciers, tells the story.I But no one unless under dire necessity should think of being so near one of the greatest spectacles in nature without sparing several days fora real look; several weeks is none too long. Thousands of Americans in nor-mal years go to Switzerland to see glaciers much harder to reach and far lesssatisfactory to study. An excellent road will carry the visitor by autostage from the railwayterminus to the several comfortable hotels and camps, most of which are solocated that the principal scenic points on the south side may be easily reached. Pedestrians and horseback riders also follow trails through the gorgeouswild-flower parks, Paradise Valley, Indian Henrys Hunting Ground, VanTrump Park, Cowlitz Park, Ohanapecosh River and its hot springs. Summer-land, Grand Park, Moraine Park, Elysian Fields, Spray Park, Natural Bridge,Cataract Basin, St. Andrews Park, Glacier Basin, and others; developing newpoints of view of wonderful glory.
