Summary[edit]
DescriptionMPD 39 approaching Waterside (geograph 3481775).jpg |
English: MPD 39 approaching Waterside The UTA built MPDs were uncommon in Waterside by the early-1970s, their duties hauling the nightly Dublin freight having been assumed by the 70-class from the end of the 1960s. However, the 09.45 passenger service from York Road was extended to Waterside on summer Saturdays and this is thought to be such a working passing a set of BNCR signals on approach to the station. The date is probably 1973 and the MPD set will work back to Belfast at 12.25. |
