Description
Norsk bokmål: Mødal, populært kalt Negerlandsbyen, ligger på Kvamskogen i Kvam herad i Vestland. Stedet er et gammelt stølsområde og skieldorado for folk i Vestland. Spesielt vinterstid er dette et populært utfartssted for Bergensere. Hvileplass før oppstigningen til Tveitakvitingen 1299 meter over havet. Kallenavnet «Negerlandsbyen» oppstod fordi vinterbleke bergensere ble så solbrune her.
English: Mødalen, earlier called the Negro village, is located on Kvamskogen in Kvam herad in Western Norway. The place is an old village, and ski paradise for people in Western Norway. Especially during winter time, this is a popular destination for people from Bergen. It is also used as a resting area before the ascent to Tveitakvitingen, 1299 meters above sea level. Earlier, the village was called the Negro Village, becuase people would sunbathe here during the winter.
