Summary[edit]

Description
English: Architrave above the front door of the Lyme Regis Guildhall, built in 1887, depicting the town's Coat of arms. It should be noted that this coat of arms, which has probably been in use since the granting of a charter to the borough of Lyme Regis in 1284 (predating the establishment of the College of Heralds in 1484) consists only of an escutcheon or shield.[1]
