Description
Deutsch: Der König und seine Familie betrachten das Gemälde „Ankunft des Königs Otto in Nauplia" von Peter von Heß. Neben dem König stehen Kronprinz Maximilian in Uniform sowie der spätere Prinzregent Luitpold. Vor dem König sitzend Königin Therese, umgeben von den vier jüngsten Kindern: am Arm der Königin Prinzessin Alexandra sowie Prinz Adalbert. Er wird später vorübergehend als Nachfolger Ottos in Griechenland gehandelt. Rechts davon, unmittelbar vor dem Gemälde, stehen die Prinzessinnen Adelgunde und Hildegard. Links außen sitzend Prinzessin Mathilde Karoline, ganz außen Prinz Carl, der jüngere Bruder König Ludwigs und Generalfeldmarschall der bayerischen Armee. Carl war die Kandidatur für den griechischen Thron noch vor Otto angetragen worden, er hatte jedoch abgelehnt. Auf dem betrachteten Gemälde sind Otto von Griechenland und die Mitglieder seiner Regentschaft vor der Silhouette von Nauplia mit der Festung Palamides zu sehen.
