Object history stammt vermutlich aus dem Potsdamer Stadtschloss; 1811 im Korridor hinter der Bildergalerie von Sanssouci nachgewiesen; vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg im Jagdschloss Grunewald ausgestellt und nach dem Krieg vermisst; 1956 im Besitz des Wallraf-Richartz-Museums, Köln; 1958 nach einem Prozess von einem Stuttgarter Galerieverein für Berlin zurückerworben; seit 1970 im Besitz der Stiftung Preußische Schlösser und Gärten Berlin-Brandenburg.
