Summary[edit]

Description
English: Lords Exchange Yard Back in the days when this was a Strowger Telephone Exchange, staff were based here to provide service to the local customers. Here in a snowstorm we see some of the vans in the yard behind the exchange. Getting their drivers out of the canteen must have been a nightmare that day:-) For the record, the nearest is a Vauxhall Viva and the others are 15cwt Commers. Post Office Telecommunications were just about the last major orderers of these types. The buildings beyond the wall are on Hall road and the trees and houses visible through the gap between the buildings are on Hamilton Terrace.
