Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Lookout Tower on Rock Island A whole series of these were built by the British Military in the late 1700s as lookout towers and as a means to pass messages quickly along the coast as each one was in the sightline of the next. They worked well if there wasn't a low mist (which there usually was).
