Description
English: Denny Regrade neighborhood. Shows Denny School on Battery St. between 5th Ave. and 6th Ave .

On verso of image: "Denny Hotel. 2nd and Blanchard. 6-27-10"
  • Subjects (LCTGM): Catholic churches--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Denny Hotel (Seattle, Wash.); Denny School (Seattle, Wash.); Queen Anne High School (Seattle, Wash.); Hotels--Washington (State)--Seattle; Elementary school buildings--Washington (State)--Seattle; High school buildings--Washington (State)--Seattle; Grading (Earthwork)--Washington (State)--Seattle; Denny Regrade (Seattle, Wash.); Scared Heart Catholic Church (Seattle, Wash.)

It's hard to know what to make of the mention of the "Denny Hotel". That was the earlier name of the Washington Hotel that stood between 2nd and 4th Avenues and between Stewart & Lenora Streets, but it had been demolished by this time and in any case Blanchard was a block away from that.
