Summary[edit]

Description I've never been sure why the only version of this stunning red flowered (but scentless - hummingbirds have no sense of smell apparently) North American honeysuckle commonly available in the UK is the rather nondescript hybrid, L. x brownii. I've heard that sempervirens, like many American plants, although totally cold hardy needs more summer heat than we get. Anyway, Cedar Lane certainly seems to be a good hardy climber, although not particularly sempervirens (evergreen) here.
