English: Plaque in memory of Alphonse Haan in the central vestibule. Inscription: “Pray for the soul of Alphonse Haan, born 25th June 1860 at Calcar, Germany, appointed organist of this cathedral in 1879, which position he occupied until his death on 26th Octr. 1908. R.I.P. This tablet has been erected by members of Cathedral Choir as a mark of respect and high appreciation of his services.” Note that Calcar (now named Kalkar) is meanwhile a neighborhood of Bad Münstereifel.
