Description
English: New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina:

The upper breech of the London Avenue Canal.

Concrete floodwalls from before the storm mark either end of the breech. Rock fill is the temporary levee constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers to stop the flow from the breech.

In the distance surveyors examining the temporary levee can be seen. To right, partial view of the backs of some homes.
