Description
English: Locomotive No.42 (Corpet-Louvet 922/1903) with a train of the Chemins de Fer Économiques des Charentes (EC) at Pont-l'Abbé-d'Arnoult, more or less haf way on the metre-gauge line from Saintes to Marennes was opened in two stages during 1903/4. The section between Pont-l'Abbé and Marennes closed in 1932, but services to and from Saintes continued until 1934. The station and the base of the water tower survived and were temporarily used as a restaurant, the Relais de Saint Jacques.
