Summary[edit]

Description
English: Loch Skeen and Mid Craig Loch Skeen (or Skene) is a glacial lake sitting at an altitude of about 1700 feet, out of which flows the Tail Burn. In the space of just over a mile, the burn drops 1200 feet to join the Moffat Water. The hills surrounding the northwestern end of the loch are Mid Craig on the left and Lochcraig Head partly hidden in clouds on the right. (The 1:25000 map shows that the point from which the photograph was taken is right on the grid line)
